Inspired by the “Third Landscape Manifest” by Gilles Clement, the photographer Maria Azkarate will win the first prize in 2020 of the “V Contest of Emerging Basque Photographers” portraying the biodiversity of Spain apparently buits with the treball el “Third Landscape”.
“Thus, the Third Landscape embodies two of the great yearnings of our present: the promise of regeneration of the environment and that of a life apart from hypervigilance and the homogenizing currents of globalization. A contemporary utopia.”
